Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Services to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Services.

  • Goto.gt Analytics: For our URL shortening service, we may use cookies or similar technologies to count clicks and analyze traffic sources for the links you create.

  • Shopify Integration: If you access Whimful via the Shopify Admin, we use session tokens and local storage to maintain your session within the Shopify interface.

D. Advertising & Marketing Cookies

These cookies are used to deliver advertisements more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement as well as help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaign.

Note: We use these on our marketing websites (e.g., whimful.com) to retarget visitors. We do not use advertising cookies inside the product dashboard or on goto.gt redirect links.

4. Cookies on Goto.gt (Redirect Service)

When end-users interact with links created via Goto.gt:

  • We prioritize stateless redirection. However, we may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage for fraud prevention (e.g., preventing bot spam) and security checks.
  • We do not build behavioral advertising profiles on end-users clicking Goto.gt links.

5. Third-Party Technologies

In addition to our own cookies, we may use various third-party cookies to report usage statistics of the Service and deliver advertisements on and through the Service.

  • Google Analytics: To track website traffic and performance metrics.
  • Google Cloud / Firebase: For secure authentication and hosting.
